Conventional Hotels to set up 5 star resort in Calangute in Goa

Conventional Hotels is setting up a 5 star hotel resort in Calangute in Goa. The property will have 136 rooms and is just 300 meters away from seashore. Pentago of Malaysia and SODA of Bangkok have been retained as architects for exterior and interior respectively. Cushman & Weikfield is appointed as project management consultant. This will be the first international branded 5 star hotel in North Goa.

Mayfair Hotel group plans 5-star hotel in Goa

Mayfair Hotels & Resorts, which has a chain of hotels across Eastern India, has recently acquired a stand alone hotel property in Goa. It has plans now to convert the same to a 5-Star hotel with 32 deluxe rooms an investment of Rs. 150 million. It will cater to upmarket leisure travellers. Currently, Mayfair is also setting up a 163 room hotel in Gangtok that includes villas and cottages will be completed by April 2009. It is also setting up a resort with 70 rooms in Chilka for which land acquisition is in progress.
