Gateway Hotels, the mid-range brand of the Tata group's Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), plans to set up atleast two greenfield hotels in Rajkot and Gandhidham in Gujarat. It will look to carer to upscale segment of leisure and business traveller. According to sources, Gateway Hotels will be a stand alone enterprises except of reservations and booking online from Taj Website.

Sarovar Group to set up a 5 star hotel in Bhubaneshwar

Sarovar Hotels and Resorts is planning to set up a 5 star hotel ‘Sarovar Premiere’ in Bhubaneshwar with an investment of Rs. 670 million excluding the cost of land. The hotel will come up at Nayapalli near Kolkatta-Chennai highway and have 150 rooms and will become operational by 2012. The company has 3 other property in Kolkatta (Peerless Inn),  Gangtok (The Royal Plaza) and Durgapur (Peerless Sarovar Portico). The group is also planning hotels in eastern India - Siliguri, Guwahati and Tezpur.
