Daiwik Hotels to set up 5 hotels across pilgrimage centres

Daiwik Hotels, a Kolkatta based company is planning to invest Rs. 1800 million to set up 5 hotels across India in pilgrimage centres. The company plans to gain market share in the niche and will set up hotels in Rameshwaram, Dwaraka, Varanasi, Katra and Tirupathi. These hotels will be completed by early 2015.

The company has already entered into a joint-venture with the Pabubha Manek family. The JV partner will provide a land bank of approximately 1.20 acre and the necessary infrastructure for the upcoming property. Daiwik Hotels operates in the pilgrim destination category with 4-star offerings. It has completed its Rameshwaram hotel.

Berggruen Hotels to set up Keys Hotel in Shirdi

Berggruen Hotels, which has the mid market brand 'Keys' had signed up a contract with Shradha Resorts for operating a upcoming hotel in Shirdi. It will have 80 rooms, besides board rooms, activity zone, gym, restaurant and lounge. This is the first venture of the brand 'Keys' in pilgrim market.

Gateway to set up new hotel in Shimla, near Theog

Gateway Hotels and Resorts is planning to set up a new property in Theog, near Shimla. It will associate with Mahamaya Infrastructure Pvt Ltd to set up the project. The new resort will come up on a hill top, spread over five acres will be equipped with an all-day dining restaurant, a specialty restaurant, a bar, a spa and banquet, conference and meeting facilities that will cater to resident and non-resident guest requirements. Recreational facilities include a swimming pool, a fitness centre and children's' play area. It may be noted, Gateway India is a pan Indian network and has 39 hotels across the country
